Life is good in Indianapolis. Or at least it has been. The Colts are 38-10 in the regular season over the past three years, but their postseason mark of 3-3 (0-1 in their lone AFC championship
game in that span) is a major disappointment.
After a 13-0 start last season, the wheels came off in indy. To some, the Colts took another step back in the offseason, subtracting the player many feit was the team's MVP in 2005 — RB Edgerrin James — rather than give him $9 million per season to return.
But the Colts' Pro Bowl cast does still include QB Peyton Manning and WRs Marvin Harrison and Reggie Wayne, who had more help in '05 than ever before from an upstart defense with speed and attitude.

| After losing Edgerrin James to the Cardinals in free agency, the Colts were expected to
address their need for a new feature back in Round One. Joseph Addai is a complete back who runs, blocks and catches well,
but was never the feature back at LSU. Tim Jennings is a scrappy corner, but he will need to overcome a lack of height. Freddie Keiaho stood out in replacing Kirk Morrison (Raiders) at San Diego State last season and fits well in Tony Dungy's scheme. Michael Toudouze and Charlie Johnson will likely need time to develop on the practice squad. Antoine Bethea is a highly productive small-college safety who could also be used at cornerback. T.J. Rushing excels returning kicks. Will Addai be able to effectively replace James? Will .Indy regret passing on LenDale White?
